Final Thoughts:
In the Ruff is a wonderfully refreshing Hip Hop album driven by cool samples, punchy boom bap drum rhythms, and unique lyrics that paint a picture of the DC metropolitan area aka the DMV (DC Maryland & Virginia). This newly formed trio has definitely set a new standard for hip hop music coming out of our nation’s capitol. I would encourage all hip hop fans and aficionados to purchase this album, its well worth the $9.99 iTunes price. I hope this album will inspire other local up and coming artists to stay true to their craft and elevate their music to the next level.
